The Third Day.

I spent my hour outside at marching band today..... so that wasn't very difficult to achieve. The meatless diet isn't as difficult as I thought, but it's definitely making me more conscious of what I eat, which is a good thing. I have a bad feeling my mom's going to make some delicious dinner with meat and I won't be able to eat it.... Ah well.

Day 3

milk is getting old but the upside to drinking milk is that i can feel my bone structure getting stronger...its awesome

Day Three

It is day three and its still not that hard. It does not look nice outside at all, so I only walked a mile today. I tried to run it to make it go faster since it looks like it is about to pour, but my dog would only run down my driveway. sooo yuppp thats it until tomorrow.

Day 3

Well i keep reading... And while i dislike religion a lot however i will say the bible is well written and has some valid points.... So while my morbid outlook gave me a little bi of with hold on enjoying this assignment but i kinda think i am. :/ Soo yeah :) Walden week was a good idea and im not minding it so much.

Day 2......

Meh I seem to have done awful today. Tomorrow I solemnly swear I will utter no mean words. I feel dissapointed in meself....

Day 2

I am kind of getting used to not eating meat. Today i ate a peanut butter sandwich and a granola bar for lunch, with a water bottle. For dinner i had mac n cheese and green beans and a lemonade. This experience is making me think about what i eat and it kind of makes me a more healthy person.

Day 2

To be honest I'm not finding it to difficult to accomplish my goal. I'm already too busy to really use my computer for recreational purposes so I'm thinking I probably should have chosen something more difficult. But once again with my time constraints I think this is probably best suited to me at this point and I got my homework done a lot faster tonight so that's always a plus.

The Second Day!

So far this experiment has proved not to be as hard as I thought it would be. I did wear shorts for field hockey practice, but that's kind of necessary. If I don't classify leggings as pants, can I wear them? Also, I am getting some insight into how long present-day people can spend on materialistic activities. Molto bene, people. Good luck with the continuing Walden Week.
Day two I wish I had soda it's hard not to have any flavor just plain old water but it's going good ik I can handle it alls good :/

The Second Day

Today went pretty well :) I had a veggie burger which is actually pretty good and really yummy pomegranate greek yogurt. I feel as though the task of giving up meat won't be as hard as I anticipated, but who knows? Maybe it'll get worse as the week goes on!

Day one and day two!

Tuesday

Today I discovered something! I knew about veggie burgers but I never actually tried one until today! I thought it was going to be discusting but it was actually really good! When I came home I smelled him cooking burgers and I thought I was going to have to cook something different like last night but he made veggie ones for me. I knew I was going to be eating other foods than meat but I didn't really know I was going to be trying new foods.. Im a happy camper today:)

Solid Number 2!

Today, still staying strong with the water.....its good and all but sometimes its nice to have a little flavor in your beverge. I know there are water enhancers and flavorers out there but i decided if I'm goana do it, I'm goana do it right. Wish me luck!

Day 2

Dinner is the only meal that is really hard for me not to have meat. So, after stepping off the soccer bus, I found myself craving a nice dinner of it waiting for me when I got home. My mom even made one of these really good beef casseroles that she makes every so often. I was so tempted to eat just a little bite, espically since there was just enough for a plate for me. But, I didn't and instead made myself some fettucini alfredo as well as some vegetables. My dinner was good but I know the casserole would have been great:( I'm proud I stuck with my goal through the meat-temptation, but I know it will all be back for tomorrow's dinner. Day 2 was definitely harder than day 1...

Day 2

I still havent had any coffee and I am still really tired. I wish I could have some. I dont think I can make it all week. It’s just so good! And im kind of a mean person in the morning when I don’t drink it. I almost missed the bus today and I bet it was because I didn’t get to drink my coffee. :(

Day 2

On day two of the experiment I have decided to read about the world. The article I decided to pick was on the topic of Obama's $447 billion job plan and the four reasons it will not succeed. It was entitled "A Plan on Job Deserves a Hearing “and was written by Christina D. Romer. I hoped that it would make me more informed about the problems the U.S. is having and about the concerns adults express about the economy." The argument against the plan claims that individual tax cuts won't work because prices of gas and low consumer confidence are preventing people from buying things. Another point raised against the plan is that the plan does not help people who owe more on their houses than their houses are worth because their debt does not allow them to spend. The cost per job being too high and the concern over the deficit holding back the economic recovery are the last two reasons people believe Obama's plan will not work. I am on the fence because I do not understand all the arguments on both sides, but I do appreciate what my parents can do for me by being able to hold a steady job at a time when lots of people want jobs so badly. Also, there is just not enough money to pay the entire world to work.

Day 2

Today was the secound day... It was a little harder because I had my mom and brother home for once but they respected it.. I stayed quit and un bothered for 10 minutes again. I think tomarrow i might even try longer like by 5 minutes. I hope it goes well.

The real Day 2

well i read 10 more pages today at my house. it was about how all of the teams starters are gone and new leaders are gonna have to rise. so they will have to be undefeted with a bunch of new people starting. they were undefeted 4 years in a row.

Day 2

i still havent had anything else to drink other than milk...its pretty tempting to go for the new bottle of apple juice in the fridge but im keeping away from it so far

Day 2...

Day 2 of being a vegetarian is not too bad. I dont feel any health differences but its only the second day.. I don't usually eat beef, pork, or lamb anyway (I'm a very picky eater) but it's hard to find substitutes for turkey and chicken. Veggie burgers are pretty good but uhh you can only have them so often and I've found other things. Overall things are going well, it's not as bad as I thought!
