In the times of the Transcendentalists the themes of simplicity and never leaving an option out were very significant. During this time, America was it a major developmental stage and what the transcendentalists were trying to say is: don't go with the fast society if you do not want to, do what you want to do and consider all options in figuring what you want to do, and do not let the fast more modern society change you stay simple and Stay Golden. However, in today's society the transcendentalist themes are more important, simply because we are a faster very modern society that could use some simplicity. We are even trying to become simple by going green!
