After reading Emerson and Thoreau, I remembered how much I had loved nature when I was a kid, and how as I have grown older and become busier had forgotten this interest in nature. I feel that I should take larger strides to recycling(though my family does it already) by checking every plastic container to see if it is recyclable, instead of lazily throwing it away or leaving it on the table for someone else to figure out. The environment is something basic and important in everyday life, and we often take it for granted.

Day 2
When I go to bed at night, I usually pick out the next days clothes and jewelry, last night I was still used to doing this, but I had to remind my self not to. So, today I wore nothing but black, with no designs and no jewelry. It was strange like being an empty pallet, I felt very plain and boring. I also was not able to watch televisions tonight when I came home, which was okay because my brother has a concert tonight and I am behind on homework. It was still a little strange because I sometimes watch TV when I come home. So far, it hasn't effected me too much, but by the end of the week, I will probably feel it more.
